HC rejects petition on fake non-creamy layer  certificate                  The Aurangabad bench of Bombay high court recently rejected a petition filed by a father-son duo against police action against them for allegedly obtaining a fake non-creamy layer certificate. Following a complaint lodged by computer consultant Manish Bhat, the police registered two different offences against Rajeev Bhanudas Chaudhari, his son Swaraj and principal of JT Mahajan Polytechnic (Faijpur) Pradip Patil under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Rajeev was accused of creating a false record of non-creamy layer and using that certificate, Swaraj got admission into first year diploma in civil engineering course in the reserved category.Following Bhat’s complaint, direction was given by the government to inquire into the matter. Lok Sabha Election 2019: For 30 years, no  Muslim MP from Gujarat in Lok Sabha                    The last Muslim to make it to the Lok Sabha from Gujarat was Congress’s Ahmed Patel in 1984. In 1989, Patel lost the Bharuch seat to BJP’s Chandu Deshmukh by 1.15 lakh votes. Ever since, no Muslim has made it to the Lok Sabha from Gujarat. Muslims make up 9.5% of the state’s population. In 1962, when the newly-formed Gujarat voted in its first Lok Sabha elections, only one Muslim candidate won, Johara Chavda, from Banaskantha. In 1977, the state elected two Muslims, both from the Congress Ahmed Patel from Bharuch and Ehsan Jafri from Ahmedabad the greatest representation Muslims have seen from Gujarat ever. United Suspends Delhi-Newark Direct For  Two  Weeks                         United has cancelled its Newark (EWR)-Delhi nonstop for next two weeks from Friday. The airline sent messages to customers about the cancellation, which has been caused due to closure of Pakistan airspace that is forcing aircraft to take a much longer route since end of February. The explosive mission is the riskiest yet attempted by the japanese space agency's hayabusa2 probe that aims to reveal more about the origins of life on earth. Hayabusa2 successfully released as scheduled the so-called "small carry-on impactor"- a cone-shaped device capped with a copper bottom- as the probe hovered just 500 metres (1,650 feet) above the asteroid ryugu.                         New Tax Return Forms Seek                         The government released on friday new income tax return forms, which seek more disclosures from those who claim exemption on a large agricultural income, directors on the boards of companies, individuals with foreign assets or bank accounts as well as those holding shares in unlisted companies.   In a major change, the facility of filing paper returns will now be available only to those over 80 years. The government has said that itr-1 or the sahaj form will have to be filed by resident individuals with a total income of up to rs 50 lakh from salary or pension, one house property, other sources such as interest income, and agricultural income up to rs 5,000. Individuals are required to file returns for fy2018-19 by july 31. India could achieve high penetration of EV by  2030                    India could achieve high penetration of electric vehicles (EV) by 2030 on the back of success of FAME II and other measures, according to a Niti Aayog report.The penetration of EV vehicles could reach around 80 per cent in case of two-wheelers and 30 per cent for private cars, the report - India's Electric Mobility Transformation: Progress to Date and Future Opportunities - by the Niti Aayog and the Rocky Mountain Institute. The report quantifies direct oil and carbon savings that vehicles incentivised under the FAME II would deliver. "According to the analysis, if FAME II and other measures – in public and private space - are successful, India could realise EV sales penetration of 30 per cent of private cars, 70 per cent of commercial cars, 40 per cent of buses and 80 per cent of two and three-wheelers by 2030," the report said.
